Porn and Sex Addiction

Catholic Families must now confront the challenge of Sex Addiction more than ever before. Our culture has been seriously subverted, primarily due to the proliferation of pornography and the internet.

Spiritual Battle

Catholic’s have a long history of success in combating addictions. Since the founding of Alcoholic’s Anonymous (AA) in 1935, Catholics have been pivotal in shaping the treatment of alcoholism. Their contributions were vital to the success and evolution of AA.

  • Sister Ignatia collaborated closely with Dr. Bob, both of whom were pioneers in the hospital treatment of alcoholism.
  • Fr. Ed Dowling served as Bill Wilson’s spiritual advisor and friend for twenty years, until Father died in 1961.

The establishment of Sexaholics Anonymous is a significant development that emerged from the twelve-step movement initiated by these remarkable pioneers.

The attached PDF, A Commentary on Steps 1, 2, 3 of SA for Catholics, is available for download. It was crafted to assist Catholics dealing with matters related to sexual lust, pornography, and sex addiction. The document serves as a preliminary guide for the “Catholic Fellowship” on their spiritual journey toward recovery.

Is There Anything More Destructive or Invasive Than Internet Pornography?

  • Pornography has permeated all social media platforms.
  • Technology fuels the hookup culture with its salacious sites.
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) elevates the porn problem to a disturbing level while corrupting our youth.
